Started in 1975 by 21 year old Tom Tilley with his brand new forestry degree from North Carolina State University and his 19 year old brother, Rick, with his degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Penn State. Starting with lawn installation and tree work, the business grew on their reputation of quality workmanship and materials.
In 1982 they built their log cabin style “Garden Center”. Business continued to grow and in the mid 80’s they branched out into water gardening. Gradually Tilley’s, “The Waterworks” became the Lehigh Valley’s premier water garden experts.
Today the garden center has redefined itself as the “Outdoor Lifestyle Center”, carrying a wide range of merchandise to enhance your home inside and out. From fountains to statuary, outdoor furniture to garden art, pottery to bird feeding supplies, We can help you enjoy YOUR outdoor lifestyle. We proudly sell master nursery garden center products, and of course our full line of water garden plants, fish, & supplies.

Today Tilley’s Nursery Inc. has a bright future with it four cornerstones
of business in place:
1) The landscape, Design/Installation division
2) The Waterworks
3) The Maintenance Division
4) The Outdoor Lifestyle Center
Our future plans include an increase in Landscape Design, Installation, and a substantial increase in maintenance Packages which will include Commercial as well as Residential.
