The approximate sizes of the ponds are based on surface measurements. Multiply the length at the longest point by the width at the widest point to obtain the surface square feet.
These figures are starting stocking requirements. More can be added as desired or necessary. Large and extra large ponds should be stocked with half of the above quantities initially and approximately two weeks later the balance can be added. The pond ecosystem will not be balances if all the items are stocked at one time.
These are approximate numbers and will vary from pond to pond depending on location and exposure
